Gary Bennett
Gary Bennett, Logit Founder and Managing Director
Logit Research was formed in April 2004 by Gary Bennett, an applied Market Researcher with over 20 years experience in the UK MR Industry, including half a decade in director roles at leading agencies.
Gary's career includes six years at MORI (now Ipsos MORI), 3-4 years at a number of more specialist agencies including RS Consulting and Benchmark Research and 4 years as a client-side Market Researcher/Senior Market Analyst at London Transport (now TfL). In the early 1990s prior to his career in market research, Gary worked as an Independent Consultant on a team conducting Organisational Reviews using survey research methods
In 1999/2000, whilst at MORI, Gary was central to the setting up of e-MORI, a virtual division focusing on research around New Media, IT and the Internet. He was one of the first UK researchers to pilot the use of on-line panels and other new forms of data collection for market research.
In the decade from 2000-2010 Gary went back to his technical routes by focusing on providing statistical support and data modelling services to survey research business. In 2004/5 he was one of the first consultants to offer maximum difference scaling and best/worst choice modelling to clients. He is an advanced user of Latent Class Analysis and an authority on segmentation analysis.
In 2011 Gary co-designed and presented the "Applications of Latent Class Models with Discrete Choice, MaxDiff, and Rankings Data” with Dr Jay Magidson of Statistical Innovations at Statistical Modelling Week in Boston, Massachusetts.
Gary is a Full Member of the UK Market Research Society (MRS) and a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. He has a Bsc(Hons) in Mathematics and Computing with Statistics (University of Leeds) and an MBA (University of Hull).
Hon-Kit Choy
Hon-Kit Choy, Market Analyst
Hon-Kit is responsible for much of the data processiing, coding and analysis required as part of Logit's consulting work. He is also an experienced programmer in Excel VBA, R and S-plus. As well as day-to-day project work Hon-Kit is also focused integrating these platforms longer term into our modelling activities, simulators and other deliverables.Prior to joining Logit in 2011 Hon-Kit worked for three years as a Clinical Programmer at Pfizer in Sandwixh, Kent. During this time Hon-Kit created scripts in R and S-plus to manipulate data from large clinical data sets into a form that could be easily visualised for rapid decision making. Hon-Kit has an MSc in Statistics and a BSc(Hons) in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Kent.
